"Katie’s Jumping Fleas is primarily but not exclusively a ukulele band which aims to entertain a wide range of people to the highest possible standard. Our emphasis is first and foremost on having fun and spreading that joy firstly amongst ourselves and therefore to everyone we entertain. We aim to support various charities and to play for those who cannot easily get out to enjoy music" Our main charity this year is Woodfield School's Hydrotherapy Pool, for children with severe learning difficulties. Oh and we're also available for private hire -parties, weddings, any special celebration for a massive - sorry, modest fee!
.....Unless we are thwarted by the great British weather. (even a host of clothes pegs cannot prevent stands being blown away in high gales and no one wants a wet ukulele). We aim to be in the centre of st Albans town, amidst the plant sellers on the first Saturday of each month at 11am, for an hour. So, stop by for a bit of Twist and Shout before going off to buy your bananas. After September's busk we received this email from a new fan: "I saw Katie's Jumping Fleas today in St Albans for the first time and you were amazing. Your rendition of Arlo Guthrie's "City of New Orleans" was brilliant. I hope you'll come back again soon?!" And from my neighbour, " We could hear you all around town. You had everyone smiling!"
